What is VCAT?What is VCAT?
Dr. Nader Siahdohoni is the creator of Visual Concentration Attention Therapy (VCAT), a form of neuropathway therapy. VCAT is the absolute power in regulating brain’s chemical imbalance. It is designed with the most precise action potential like patterns of visual therapeutic stimulation to provide enhancement in any neural network and brain chemical imbalance related dysfunction, from a simple stress management, depression and anxiety to a more complicated pre-Alzheimer’s and dementia. Neural networks are the fundamental property of normal brain functioning, which dysregulated brain activity has been implicated in a wide array of mental disorders. Talk therapy is overrated, medications deal with major site effects and relapses, and so VCAT maybe the only safe way to get satisfaction and results in improving brain’s neural disarrays. VCAT is assumed to ease neural illness, stop problem behavior, increase productivity and creativity, induce sleep, optimize attention, concentration, learning and memory, aid in relaxation and stress release, and creates a therapeutic environment for any neural network related disorders.
Visual Concentration Attention Technology (VCAT) is consisted of visual concentration and attention techniques, a form of neuropathway/cognitive therapy. VCAT program is based on the concept of selective and divided attention theories including action potential like attentional stimulation to the brain from its build in visual field template that influences the firing rate of neurons, discharge of neurotransmitters, brain waves, and increasing the oxygenated blood flow throughout the brain for an optimal plasticity.
The Science behaind VCAT
VCAT is a science and research based neural pathway (connections between the neurons in the brain) therapy stimulating brain and neural functioning system cognitively and mentally internally, and externally through Visual field. VCAT consists of tow combined disciplines in psychology/neuropsychology.
One principle is founded on cognitive neuroscience with the principles of mental processing, cognitive focus, and theories of attention which stimulates brain’s functioning and neural system internally, mentally, and cognitively. Cognitive neuroscience is the scientific field in psychology that is concerned with the study of the biological processes and aspects that underlie cognition, with a specific focus on the neural connections in the brain which are involved in mental processes.
The second principle is the VCAT- Visual Field Model (VCAT-VFM), a Treatment Diagram Platform that is based on the science of Visual Field and Hemispheric Lateralization stimulating the neural processing system externally through Visual Field. Visual Field (VF) and Brain’s Hemispheric Lateralization principles elucidate that visual stimulus appears in the left visual field (LVF), stimulate the right cerebral hemisphere (RH), and conversely, if a visual stimulus appears in the right visual field (RVF), stimulate the left cerebral hemisphere (LH).
The human brain is able to continually adapt and rewire itself. Even in old age, it can grow new neurons. VCAT key principles include influencing brain’s neural network functioning and their related neurotransmitters as well as neurogenesis. Neurogenesis is the creation of new neurons. The more active a particular brain cell is, the more connections it develops with its neighboring neurons through a process called dendritic sprouting. A single neuron can have up to thirty thousand such connections, creating a dense web of interconnected activity throughout the brain. Each neuron can then be stimulated directly through experience (real or imagined) or indirectly through these connections from its neighbors, which saves the cell from cell death. Exercising VCAT on regular bases boosts the brain’s rate of neurogenesis throughout life. It increases the rate at which those new brain cells survive and make functional connections into existing neural networks. VCAT’s visual stimulations and its treatment plans are formulated, planed, and developed precisely to do so accordingly to that specific disorder as well as balancing neurotransmitters discharge by enhancing and regulating the neural network firing rates. According to the quantitative pre and post treatment research study conducted by Dr. Nader Siahdohoni on attention, concentration, and memory in individuals with ADHD as well as hundreds pilot studies, empirical and evidence-based-studies, programs such as VCAT could be an effective way in promoting efficient communication among the many nerve cells (neurons) and functional centers located throughout the brain and sensory motor system leading to improvement of attention, concentration, perception, cognition, and memory.
